Editorial Policy
Health Discovery Digest publishes plain-language articles about everyday health and wellness: food, daily routines, healthy aging and how the body works. This page explains how we choose topics, where our information comes from, and how we keep articles accurate.
What we publish
Our articles are general information for adult readers. They explain what research and established health guidance say about a topic, in language anyone can follow. We do not diagnose conditions, recommend treatments for individual readers, or tell anyone to start, stop or change a medication.
Where our information comes from
We base factual statements on authoritative sources: government health agencies (such as the CDC, NIH and USDA), peer-reviewed research, and guidance from established medical and professional organizations. Articles that make factual or health claims list their sources at the end. When the evidence on a topic is limited or mixed, we say so instead of overstating it.
How articles are written and reviewed
Articles are prepared by the Health Discovery Digest editorial team. We use software tools, including AI tools, to help research and draft articles. Before an article is published, a member of our team reviews it against this policy: every factual claim must be supported by a source, no article may promise a health outcome, and no article may present a product as a treatment for any condition.
Health Discovery Digest articles are not written or reviewed by doctors or other licensed health professionals unless the article names that person.
What we will not publish
- Claims that a food, habit or product treats, cures or prevents a disease
- Weight-loss promises, before-and-after claims, or testimonials presented as evidence
- Invented experts, credentials, quotes, reviews or statistics
- Advice to use anything in place of care from a doctor
Advertising and editorial independence
Health Discovery Digest is supported by advertising. Some pages on HealthDiscoveryDigest.com are advertisements for products sold by other companies. Those pages are labeled as advertising (for example, "Advertorial") and are not part of our editorial content. Advertisers do not choose our article topics, review our articles before publication, or influence what our articles say. If an article contains affiliate links, it says so at the top of the article.
Updates and corrections
We update articles when we learn that guidance has changed or that we got something wrong, and we show the date of the most recent update at the top of the article. If you believe something we published is inaccurate or out of date, email us at [email protected] or use our contact form. We read every correction request.
Not medical advice
Nothing on HealthDiscoveryDigest.com is medical advice. Please read our Medical Disclaimer.
